Love is an action and needs an expression point. Without one, love is not love.
So God made expression points - you and me. We each become a unique receptor of God's love and expressor of God's love.
This makes you unique and invaluable.
God's desire is that we would then become a mirror of Him to show His love to others.
When God said it wasn't good for man to be alone, He created the perfect bride for the first Adam. In doing so He was creating a picture of Himself. It isn't good for God to be alone!
He is in the process of creating the perfect bride for the second Adam; Jesus, our Messiah!
All who are apprentices of the Messiah are a part of this bride And the bride's job is to be the perfect complement to her Lord!
God and man once dwelled in a beautiful garden. Here there were two trees - the tree of Life and the tree of knowledge of good and evil. The command was to trust in God's goodness. The temptation was that man could be like God and decide what is good and bad himself.
This tempatation is still in play today, but the Messiah came to tell us we don't need to be eating from that tree anymore!
As apprentices we are called to stop judging the things of this life as good or bad. We are called to completely trust in Him, thanking Him for it all - good, bad, and ugly. In doing this we participate in His life. This is eternal life.
The Messiah came spreading the good news that the Kingdom of God was once again open to man.
He came to show us the path to life. This path can be found in the Holy attitudes he has called us to follow.
He calls those Holy who are poor in spirit, those who mourn, those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, those who show mercy, those who are pure, those who are peacemakers, and those who are persecuted for Him and His name.
Following this path allows us to fulfill his command to be perfect as He is perfect, and holy as He is holy.
When an apprentice looks like this they will be mirroring the Messiah and they will bring a smile to God's face!
Our mission is to empower, encourage, equip, and partner with God’s saints around the world to mirror our Messiah in everything! But this is not a one size fits all task. Apprenticeship is unique to each individual, but the priniciples are the same. Mirror the Messiah seeks to express those principles and mindsets to help individuals hear God and start mirroring Him!
Jesus is the Father's love in action to us! We desire to help people see that like Jesus we too can live in the reality that we can hear God, do what He says to do, and go where He says to go. This is reflecting the Son and it will be reflecting the Father's love to a world that so desperately needs it!
This is picking up our crosses and following Jesus. Jesus calls this walking in perfection and holiness. This is living in the Kingdom/Living in Him! Only those who are dressed as He is dressed are in the Kingdom, so it becomes a primary need and necessity for those who love God to walk as He walked!
